KIDZ is a family support group that provides opportunities for individual and group support, recreation, advocacy, and education to families who have a child diagnosed with diabetes. We serve families in the tri-cities area of Nebraska, as well as parts of Nebraska and North-Central Kansas not served by a support group.
When your child is diagnosed with diabetes, there can be a lot to learn. Sometimes it can be overwhelming. How can we keep blood glucose levels consistent? How do we test for ketones? Has anyone else experienced this? Are certain foods limited? What is the latest technology?
Sometimes it just helps to talk with someone who understands.

Our next event will be held in conjunction with Camp Hot Shots Central in Hastings. We will have a speaker from the ADA on June 15, and have speakers on insurance and BG control on June 17. Also on June 17 siblings can join campers for an afternoon of fun. See flier for more information. |
